Victoria is a Bulgarian bass player and composer, currently living in Vienna. Her music is a mixture of various influences – from the diversity of harmonies and timbres in contemporary jazz and chamber music to the poetry and grooves of Bulgarian traditional chants and odd rhythms. Together with her fellow musicians, Victoria has some stories to tell you- tales about ghost trains, rebellious girls and horses, dancing waltz.
In June 2019 with a concert at the jazz club Porgy&Bess, consisting of her original compositions, Victoria successfully completed her Master’s degree at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität, Vienna. During her Master’s program she won the Fidelio Competition Award together with La.Do Trio, as well as ARGE and MM Jazz scholarships. In 2017 Victoria graduated from the Milan Conservatory. In the same year she won the Best bassist award at the National Contest “Premio delle arti”, as well as the First Prize of “Premio del Conservatorio di Milano” together with Tri(o)ttico Jazz Trio. Victoria has played at Jazz Festivals such as Bergamo Jazz, JAZZMI, MM Jazzfestival St Pölten, Jazz Forum Stara Zagora, Novara Jazz, Jazz in Burgas. She has participated in masterclasses such as Siena Jazz Summer Workshops; Begues Jazz,Spain; Summer Music Academy, Sofia.
